Back to this monster.
I chose to chop that thing in part so we can hit colors and publishing deadline without having to complete all 7 part at once which didn’t really fit my schedule with other commitment and NYCC coming up. Plus that last part of these 7 cover is not due for 7 Months technically.
Also, Turn out these are Logoless variants, which give me more room on the top. So I adjusted the whole previous game plan accordingly, and wide the perspective a bit while at it.
Let’s go .
My previous layout was a bit too rough for digital Inking comfort. I Just drew a bit of ‘pencil’ definitions before inks . I always love Mikel Janin deceptively simple and elegant design. Allowing me to draw actual clothes for superheroes. I need to Ask Mikel to send me His Green Lantern chest logo ( Alan Scott had his arm folded on his chest in the reff) - I’ll add that later
I very often like to plan my Back ground separately.
and than Combining both layers.
2 down, 5 to go!!
I’ve drawn a lot of that part 3 background and it will end up pretty much covered by the flash next , but for Nathan to color the background of Part 2, I felt knowing the context of part 3 was essential.
To be continued!
