Hey, Now that our INCAL Psychoverse, or Mental INCAL in francais is bilingual available, I thought I should give it a bit of Spotlight and hopefully convince a few of you to check it out.
The Incal is arguably the greatest French science fiction graphic novel, written by written by Alejandro Jodorowsky and drawn by Jean Giraud , MOEBIUS, both uber Giants in their own right in the 80’.
The original series eventually had a prequel, Before INCAL and a sequel, Final INCAL.
Our Crazy story wedge itself after before INCAL but JUST Before the original INCAL series and even overlap it a bit. Ha-ha, I know it’s a bit confusion. But reading on its own should give you all the keys you need to understand what is going on. But You most definitely don’t want to refuse you great experience of reading the original classic too.
Mark Russell cooked up fantastic script for it and Dave McCaig godly colored the whole thing, they BOTH ended up scoring Eisner Award nomination this year for It and I’m happily living their glory be proxy.
PLEASE Consider voting for these two most Highly deserving masters!

here so tasty art to whet your appetite.
I had this ridiculous idea for the cover, having our hero John Difool fall is a good Incal cover classic, with a hint of the Psychoverse graphic madness (more on that later).
Our story takes place in two worlds, a real one and an Imagination one (Psychoverse) to simplify things. The real one has normal panel borders, but the Psychoverse requires a bit of extra work. I’ve tried a few options.
In the end, I’ve found my solution in the abstract painting works of Mobius himself thus staying in the same imaginational dimensions.
At some point, my brother Nathan Fairbairn entirely colored the first chapter. But in the quest of finding a color style that would satisfy both the American and the French market Humanoids looked for other options. After trial and error, Dave McCaig saved the day, recoloring the whole thing, killing it! I love both versions and it’s interesting to compare them out. Nathan awesome contribution can only be seen in the Free Comic book day version (2022) and will surely become a rare collectible item.
